Week #46 Reindeer Train Card Cute Character - Stamped background

Very cute card made by Vince is our weekly card ! I can't believe there's only two more weeks of this challenge and then that's it for the year ! We will see each other again in January just in time to start our Crimbo Odyssey again ! LOL

A bit thank you again for Susie for last week design. And a special mention to Jo who went totally berserk adding cards after cards .....I love it !

This week's theme is Stamped Background in a Christmas Card as you can see the flourishes were stamped and overlayed to give a lovely effect. Don't you agree that's a fabulous card ! Thanks Vince for letting me use it for our challenge.

As usual add your cards to inspire others using Mr Linky and you can comment the usual way. Please make sure you're making a Christmas Card ! Otherwise I'll have to delete your entry. You don't have to follow the theme but just make sure you make a Christmas/Holiday Season card, thank you !

Week #45 Pink Diva Hanging Card by Susie - Diva, Hanging and Wavy frame

This week I have a surprise for you Susie contacted me and offered to be a Guest Designer, since I'm really running out of ideas, I thought that's great. But that's not all if you go and visit her blog she'll have a surprise for you.

Susie created this stunnning hanging Christmas card all in pink with a lovely Diva lady looking very very demure. I love how she really gave her own spin to this Christmas card. Thanks Susie !

For our Christmas Card challenge, themes are three this week: Diva (whatever gives you the feel of being a Diva), hanging card and finally wavy frame. You can use all three, a combination of two, or just the one, up to you. You don't even have to follow the theme if you have made a Christmas card just add them to Mr linky below. Leave your comments the usual way. Thank you all for playing my crimbo challenge every week !

Week #44 Polar Bear and Presents Card - Two halves Theme

Vince made this lovely Christmas card and I thought I would share it with you. I like how the polar bear is guarding all the presents ! LOL A very fun card !

Theme this week is Two halves: basically use two plain and patterned papers but make sure the card is split in half covering them. Don't forget you can always post any Christmas card, you don't have to follow the theme. It's nice to see what you're all been up to with your crimbo creations.

Next week I'm going to have a designer guest, so I'm very excited so check our next week challenge.

Vince has created this beautiful card and I couldn't help but use it this week for our challenge.

THEME is Oval and/or Scalloped edge. Add your creations to Mr Linky and your comments the usual way. Thank you for playing the challenge, only 5 more weeks and it will be over so get crafting !

Sorry Libeeti but your card was not a Christmas card so I had to remove your link - Just a reminder that the theme I give each week is for Christmas Cards although you don't have to follow the theme I expect the cards to be with a Holiday Season feel ! Thank you for understanding.

Week #41 Reindeer Bauble Card - Baubles or something round !

Wow I couldn't help but use the free download on Jak's blog which she generously gave away a while back. Torn the background paper and used some versafine deep lagoon to ink the edges and the base card. Added a dotted ribbon from existing stash ! I've also went around the bauble with an embossing stylus to give it a rounder feel.

THEME this week is BAUBLES and/or anything ROUND. Have fun with the theme and as usual use Mr Linky to link to your blog post or pictures and add your comments the usual way.

I'm going to have another Blog Candy up for the end of November so watch this space. And get cracking making Christmas cards you don't have long now before it's on your doorstep.

Week #40 Dazzles Snowman In a Globe Card - Paper Strips and Tearing - Blog Candy Winners !

Sorry guys one day late and honestly I feel lucky I made it ! LOL

Used Hot Off the Press this week, papers and dazzles as well as Sakura metallic pens for colouring. Gems are Kanban.

The THEME this week is paper strips and tearing, I've cut the paper in 2cm equal strips and made sure they were the same distance on the either edges but didn't follow the same rule for the middle strips to keep interesting, I also torn an oval for the sentiment. So go wild using strips of papers or/and tearing them ! Add your cards to Mr Linky and use the comments section as usual.

BLOG CANDY WINNERS

Vince pulled two winners out of a hat (well a mixing bowl really)

Well done to Ann and Nicki, I'll be leaving you a comment on your blogs so you can contact me for your addy ! Well done !

Week #39 Snowman and Snowlady Xmas Card - Green and more green

Weeeeee another week and we're getting closer to Christmas ! Yippie LOL

This week's Theme is Green and more green, I've used a Kanban sheet. I've also added a cute HOTP brad, I thought it matched it perfectly. The other theme is make two of one supply so you make two different cards from the same supply of materials.

Have fun with it and remember Mr Linky to link to your blog or pictures and comment as usual in the comment box.

Week #38 Santa Lookin' in Card - Cosy Christmas Scene or Windows Theme

This week Vince is coming to the rescue, I've had a few weeks of being really blue and I can't seem to be able to craft. So Vince has generously allowed to use one of his Christmas cards. Now you will notice something with the Santa, look very closely and you'll spot something...all will be revealed next week ! LOL

The THEME is Cosy Christmas Scene and/or Window, so anything that create a lovely crimbo scene will do and if you have a window stamp or on an image that will do to. Have fun with it ! Post your post or picture using Mr Linky and add a comment the usual way. Thanks for playing my Yuletide challenge ! X Fab

Week #37 Cute Santa Christmas Card - Rectangle card or use your glitter pen

This week I used a Kanban Christmas sheet and added some serious bling and added sakura glitter to give the effect of mist around the moon. I had fun making this card.

So the THEME is a Rectangle card or/and use your glitter pen (Sakura or what-have-you).

Add your cards to the Mr Linky or/and a comment. Another two weeks before I declare the blog winners so keep posting or commenting.

Week #36 Owl Christmas Present Card - Owls or Present Theme

Ohhhhhh I do love my owls. This week I'm using Vince's lovely digistamp (soon available on his blog) of two owls trying to find what's in that present. Isn't it cute ?

The THEME this week is Owls and/or Present so use stamps, brads or images with an owl or present or both up to you ! Have fun with it. I'll repeat it until I'm blue in the face: you don't have to follow the theme just add your card so you have more chances to win either blog candy (top right hand corner on the blog).

Add your comments or your links to Mr Linky !

Thanks for playing the challenge every week, it really means a lot to me ! XXX Fab

Week #35 Stripe and Dots Kanban Card - Stripe N Dots or No fabric ribbon Theme

I had to use some of those Kanban papers that were included free in this month Creative CardMaking Magazine. I've added some Stampin' Up gem brads and a few generic pearly small gems. The ribbon was made with an offcut of the main sentiment.

This week THEME is Stripes N Dots or/and No Fabric Ribbon (you can use paper). Have fun with it. Link to your blog or pictures with Mr Linky, leave comments in the usual place...don't forget each entry or comments get you closer to winning either of the two blog candy. Good Luck!

Week #34 Poinsettia Christmas Card - Jak Decoupage Sheet or Any other flowery Yuletide theme

Jak Heath (yes the lady from La Pashe) posted a lovely Poinsettia sheet to decoupage on her blog and I thought why not try it. So I made this card assembling the bits, I also used Sakura pens to highlight the leaves with clear and glittery transparent. I used this mesh I bought years back but never used and added a scrap paper I found in my scrap box that was the nearest match to the red on the leaves, ribbon is taffeta from Stampin' Up.

So this week THEME IS POINSETTIA OR ANY OTHER FLOWERY CHRISTMASSEY CARD...have fun with it and as usual use MR Linky to post your links to your card(s). You can comment the usual way. You don't have to follow the theme to play. Don't forget any entry be it cards or comments count for the blog candy !

Week #33 Paper Flair Shape Christmas Card kit - From a Kit !

Last week we had the theme from a sketch.....this week THE THEME IS 'FROM A KIT'.

I picked the Paper Flair Shaped Christmas Card Kit from Hot Off The Press. As you can see I had lots of fun making these cards, they don't take more than 20 minutes each, it's just the cutting around that takes time. I also added some sakura transparent glitter but unfortunately the camera doesn't always pick it up.

So do you have a Christmas kit you haven't touched for a while just pull it out of the box and whip some cards out...at least 3 or 4 so you have more to add to your stash.

Add your cards to Mr Linky. You don't have to follow the theme just add any Christmas card you make during the week and don't forget that each entry (cards or/and comments) will earn you an entry for my blog candy ! (see above)

Week #32 Fun Ice Skating Bear Card (Di Hickman Card Sketch August #1) - Theme follow a sketch !

Well Di Hickman had this super cute sketch on her blog and I thought why not. I needed to finish this card for my lovely friend Gill at foilplay.co.uk as I promised her an extra one with bear to match his other brother.

I got so many good comments on twitter and facebook with this card that I thought I better use it this week and the THEME is 'use a sketch' any sketch that takes your fancy.

I've used Patchwork Kingdom decoupage christmast bear and Kanban bling both available from foilplay.co.uk, finally some paper from the Hot Off the Press cardmakers jewel pad. Love the effect of faux velvet on that paper. I hope you like it !

As usual add your creations with Mr Linky or post a comment. You can add any Christmas cards you don't have to follow the theme.

Week #31 Snowman and Bling Joy Christmas Card - Half and Half Embossing

Ok this week I'm late ...sorry ! The theme this week is Half and Half Embossing basically emboss two different papers and play with that. As usual you don't have to play the theme and you can add your link to Mr Linky. It's an ok card, not one of my best but I had fun sticking all the bling on it. LOL

This week I'm starting a Blog Candy that will last until September then I'll pick two winners among people who leave comments or play the challenge leaving their entry on Mr Linky (and yes you earn two entries). If you leave a comment make sure that I can contact you either with your blogger profile having an email on it or by other means otherwise I won't be chasing you, the prize will go to the next person.

Have fun this week with the challenge and don't forget to add your comments or entries on Mr Linky for the blog candy !

Pearl gems kanban, I've alos used a Dazzle from HOTP.

The theme this week is an easy one.....cute and square. So square card or/and patterned and you can add cute up to you.

This week's theme is STAR or/and Peel-offs/Ouline Stickers. I've used the lovely Dazzles from HOTP and put along the edge of the design (those tiny stars). Then I used a brad buddy (again Hot Off the Press) to match. Papers are HOTP too.

So have fun creating your card this week, you don't have to follow the theme, add your card using Mr Linky. Thanks for playing !

Week #28 Bright Christmas Cards - Bright and Funky

I know this week I went mad, LOL, and made two cards. I've used some lovely HOTP papers and I thought they would match perfectly wtih some squidgy plastick stickers I got as a gift on a craft magazine (I can't honestly remember which one). Since I've gone bling mad I've used Kanban bling available from these two lovely ladies : Gill (foilplay.co.uk) and Sharon (sharonduncan.co.uk). I've also used some metallic buttons that I sourced from Paperchase (UK company). I hope you like them and they will inspire you to make Bright and Funky Christmas Cards this year.

As usual you don't have to follow the weekly theme and add your link to your post on your blog or a picture on a hosting solution (Flickr, Photobucket etc..) on Mr Linky.

You can add comments too if you wish.

Week #27 Holly and Tree Stripey - Rounded corners and Epoxy Stickers

This week's theme is rounded corner either matting, the card itself or both. As an alternative you can use epoxy stickers (you know the shiny chunky ones like I used on my card).

Paper HOTP from Xmas kit (QVC TSV), white brads too. Red ribbon Brenda Pinnick and the bling from Kanban. I've edged the mat and card with Versafine red inkpad.

Just link to your blog entry (not the main blog address the one that takes to your post please) with MR Linky or you can add a comment as usual. Never get tired to say every week that the theme is totally optional and you can add your Xmas card so we can all see what you have made we need inspiration believe...we doooooo ! Week #26 Snowman Noel Card - Tags and/or Flowers !

Edit : I'm starting to loathe blogger ! wink I've set up the card to show up after midnight and was blissfully unaware that the post didn't automatically show today.

So I won't do schedule posts anymore they don't work.

This week's challenge is Tags and/or flowers. Brenda Pinnick cardstock and chipboards, Kanban Pearl Gems and finally this 3d tag (it even has the From and to on it). I distressed the letter chipboard and added pearl gems to them and also on some of the flowers.

Well have fun this week and remember you post your creations to Mr Linky (the weekly theme is totally optional so join in the fun if you're making Xmas card). You can post comments the usual way.

Week #25 Green Velour Dufex Christmas Tree - Textures and Glint

I got these lovely dufex Xmas squares with my last order, they are a bonus if you order for a certain amount at Foilplay.co.uk . Thank you Gill they're lovely. I never know how to use Dufex as they are quite a big statement of foiled work, I find that they don't mix well with flat papers or even clash with other foiled papers. I got some lovely textured green velour paper from HOTP/Paper Wishes and the red paper is from an oriental kit (goes to show...). I thought those papers were 'robust' enough to counter balance the dufex, I coloured in with permanent markers in green and made the baubles red then I had a change of heart and used very tiny Kanban gems so the red got covered ! LOL

This week theme (please remember it's totally optional) is textured papers and glint (a bit of shine).

As usual link to MR Linky to either your blog or picture hosting solution (photobucket, flickr, picasa etc...)

Week #24 White Arabesque Vintage Santa Card - White on Red or Rub-ons

Oh I bet you thought I went away and forgot about our Monday appointment....well nearly ! LOL

This week theme is White on Red or/and Rub-ons. Paper is Bo Bunny - Holiday Homespun Toile (Both sides), White out Christmas Rub-ons We R Memory Keepers. Ribbon from a QVC Kit, red ribbon brad HOTP and finallly the pear gems are Kanban. Just a quick reminder you don't have to follow the theme add your Xmas cards if you make any during this week, the more the merrier I say.

I'll be putting Mr Linky back on later on hoping it will work apparently they have new servers so I had to be given a new code. I will tinker with the template and see if I get any joy.

Week #23 Penguin in jumper Christmas Card - Fun Christmassy Cute Animals

This week a fun christmassy cute animal card ! It's card I made nearly two years ago but came across it and thought it was a lot of fun ! So if you have any fun animal with a Christmas theme just them this week.

Of course you don't have to follow the theme. Unfortunately MR Linky doesn't work and was blocking my blog from loading apparently from their blog they have growing pains but if one sells a service they should expect some growth so I'm at loss why they make it as it's an unforeseeable crisis. They were quite happy to take our money. Oh well we shall wait and see. It's a shame because it's a useful service.

So bear with me and post your creations in the post comment section, please ! Thanks X Fab

Week #21 Noel Green Satin Card - No matting and Simple

This week, I wanted simple and hopefully elegant. I used a lovely Noel stamp from Stampin Up ( I think it's retired now) and coloured in with pastel pencils. Used a lovely satin green ribbon and wove it through the card. Added four big chunky green gems to match. You've noticed I didn't use any matting and that's your challenge this week, no matting no background paper just stamping or using embellishments or you can go for the simple card option: less is more approach.

I hope you're enjoying my weekly Christmas challenge. I had a blast watching the three hours show from Dawn today on QVC and the lovely Catherine was there ! I had to sit on hand a few times and did realise that I already had a couple of items already. LOL

As usual use Mr Linky for your cards. Hugz XXX Fab

Week #20 Let it Snow Christmas Card - Something Punched / White & Blue

This week theme is 'Something Punched' as you can see I punched circles matching the matting paper (hint I punched them out from that very same matting paper - wink). Everything is Hot Off the Press and I always find that square cards have a special something especially when using geometrical arrangements. The alternative theme is Blue and White.

Please add a link to your blog post (not your main blog address) or to your picture on a hosting website using Mr Linky. You can add your comments the usual way. Thank you for playing the Xmas Challenge. You'll be seeing more Stampin' Up products in the near future as I've joined them as a demo. Week #19 Victorian Christmas Whimsical Christmas Card - Old fashioned with a twist or altered images

I found this lovely card Vince made a while back and thought it would be perfect for our Christmas challenge. He's used a royalty free victoriana picture and altered it using a fresh colour such as turquoise to give the card a modern twist.

So this week theme is either or both: Old fashioned with a twist / Altered Image

Have fun with this theme and I can't wait to see what you'll be doing with it. As per custom you add your blog permalink (that means straight to your post where you crimbo card is) using Mr Linky or your hosted Xmas card picture . You don't have to follow the theme but make sure it's a Christmas card you're linking too ! LOL

You can add your comment too as usual.

Week #18 Hiding Doggie Christmas Card - Cute and Cheerful Theme

Vince made this lovely doggie hiding under the Santa hat for me with a template so I can make it again. I found those lovely Hot Off the Press papers in the Ultimate Christmas pack. The acetate greeting is HOTP too, just simple matting and layering and edged the papers with colorbox chalk ink in dark brown.

Our blog candy winner is ............HAZEL (DIDO) ! Well done darling, you've been following me since almost the beginning so well deserved. Let me know when you get the book, you should receive it towards the end of the week.

This week's theme is 'Cute & cheerful' so anything that you think match that. Just add your card linking either to your blog entry (permalink please) or your pictures being hosted on photobucket, flikr, etc. using Mr Linky. You can add a comment the usual way.

Week #17 Santa's Shirt Card - HOTP Shirt folding Tutorial or put a Santa anywhere theme

I thought I would give you a more challenging challenge this week ! LOL I've used an origami shirt tutorial on the paperwishes webisodes website where the lovely Paulette shows you how to go about and fold paper to create lovely shirts. There's also a Santa shirt with the extra trimming on which I've added some snow glittery glue. I used a shiny black cardstock for the belt and a buckle I already had from another kit I covered with my newly purchased cosmic shimmer mist in silver. For the buttons I used those black pearl adhesives from Kanban, paper is HOTP from a 12X12 kit (I cut it down to 8.5 X 11 inches). Now if you don't want to do a shirt this week that's ok just make sure there's a Santa somewhere on your card.

As usual Mr Linky to link to your creations and leave a comment. I'm a bit late today to post my challenge as the glue wouldn't dry yesterday night so my apologies to the keenest of you who wrote me a couple of emails.

This is the last chance to add your entries for that lovely blog candy christmas papercraft book by Judy Balchin so either/or leave comments or add your card entry. I'll be announcing the winner on week #18. Now I received some inquiries about the gallery not being shown, as soon as I have enough entries I'll create a lovely gallery because as it stands (I don't blame you really) Christmas is not high priority amongst cardmakers, I do want to thank everyone who is soldiering on ! Week #16 Tea Bag Folding Christmas Tree Card - Tea Bag Folding or/and Unusual papers

This week I needed to do two things: my christmas card challenge with Tea Bag foldings and add my paper weaving technique ( I say 'my' as I haven't seen done anywhere else so I kinda like to think I've done it first). Now not only you have as a theme this lovely tutorial from Nina to follow but also my own paper weaving technique using the Easy Stitch Template from Hot Off the Press ( HOTP 7328 ). Alternatively you can use any unusual papers you wouldn't automatically associate with Christmas. I know it's a toughie but you can do it.

Papers, and star brad; all Hot Off the Press.

As usual just leave your link using Mr Linky and you can comment too. Just a quick reminder you don't have to follow the weekly themes so if you've made a Xmas card just bring them on.

You still have another Monday and then that's it, I'll randomly select someone for that lovely Judy Balchin Christmas Paper Craft Book which is this month blog candy. Thank you all for playing. X Fab

Week #15 Poinsettia Christmas Card - Square card or Fabric/Paper Xmas flowers

I hope you had all a lovely Easter and I know that you're all busy so don't worry too much, I'll keep going and when you're good & ready come back and post your Christmas creations. I've used Hot Off the Press material (papers, brads and poinsettia fabric flowers) this week (Hi to everyone at the Paperwishes forum btw).

Our theme is either/or use a square card, utilise some fabric or paper flowers !

As it is customs now, add your link to Mr Linky (please make sure you add the link to your post [permalink] and not to your generic blog please). The reason I need a permalink is by the time I reach your blog you probably have posted a dozen times and it's hard for me to hunt down your entry so make sure your link looks like something like this http://yourblogname.blogspot.com/yourentry.html and NOT only http://yourblogname.blogspot.com .

Don't forget about the blog candy (lovely Christmas paper craft book).

Week #14 Sugar Cane, Hat, Candy and Stocking for Christmas Card - Brads and/or Tall theme - Blog Candy !

This week I wanted to create something with some tall cardstock I have and I thought it would make it a bit different than the usual square card, so there you have it a TALL card can be used for your Christmas card this week. Or if you have some red, green or Xmas themed brads you're dying to use then, I've answered your prayers ! wink.

Papers 'Very Merry', an old red folder that needed recycling, brads are Hot Off The Press and the stamped sugar cane stamps is from Stampin' Up.

I completely forgot to announce what the 'blog candy' was all about a few weeks back well it's a book entitled 'Papercrafts for Christmas' (see picture below) I will send it to whoever have made Christmas cards, put my Xmas Challenge banner on their blog and left a comment. It will be a random pick. But for each action you make you'll earn an entry....so keep making your Yuletide stash ! LOL

It's a lovely book that gave me so much inspiration you can copy the various projects or make them your own. I really enjoyed that's why I'm getting an extra one for one of you lucky Christmas card makers ! LOL

As usual use Mr Linky to add your entries and you can also add a comment the usual way. I'll never get tired of reminding you that the weekly theme is totally optional so you can create any cards you want and add them to the challenge, the more the merrier.

Week #13 Very Pink Vera De Muis Christmas Card - Decoupage or Pink

I wanted to create a card with only three things this week: using some lovely cardstock from a Dena Kit I got from QVC, my beloved Vera De Muis decoupage which is really Christmassey with the snowman and finally my new Sakura glitter gel to add glitter to the project.

I like how the mouse nearly leaps out of the frame and I hope you can see that I've added glitter to those doodles (on either side) and the flower (just in the middle).

So there ya go for this week: either/or Decoupage or Pink (reddish pink is ok too ! wink)

As usual add your creations using Mr Linky and you can add a comment the usual way. Thanks for playing and I'll be creating a gallery later on the day !

Week #12 Snowwoman Christmas Card - Organza or Vellum Theme

Sorry guys for the picture but I just got back from visiting Vince's relative and I was completely knackered and my nerves were hanging out ! So I made this quicky card with some papers I got for free from Making Card magazine. I used some pink organza and those brad rhinestones I can't seem to leave alone (Stampin' Up) at this rate I'll finish the box soon ! LOL

So the theme this week is Organza or Vellum (or both really). As usual leave your link to your card in the Mr Linky box and you can leave a comment too, please. Again you don't have to follow the them if you have made Xmas cards just share them please.
