Week #4 Baubles Xmas Card - QVC UK Christmas Stickers made by Vince

I found this beautiful card made by Vince (he hides them from me, LOL) and I wanted to share it with you. Vince used a background paper he got free from a magazine but added the holly leaves with watercolour paint, he then stuck three baubles from a QVC UK kit (item 585867). I find the card very effective. Hope you like it !

As per the usual challenge add your Christmas cards you've made this week and on week #5 I'll create a gally from the previous 4 weeks ! Yay !

Week #3 Snowflakes Glorious Snowflakes - Cuttlebug Embossing folder and HOTP brads

I blinked and I nearly forgot to post my very own Christmas card ! LOL

Very simple card, pearlescent paper run through the snowflake cuttlebug embossing folder, highlighted with white ink to pick the accents. Brenda Pinnick snowflakes ribbon with a sheer organza look, finally I applied a Christmas rub-on to a big white chunky brad and finish the card off with three snowflakes brads (all Hot Off the Press). Easy peasy ! LOL

As usual add your entries in the comment section so we can admire your Yuletide creations and take inspiration from them. Thanks in advance for playing !

Week #2 Reindeer and Santa in a Snow Globe - Making Cards papers

Vince got me some 3 dimensional cute Reindeers stickers and I was a bit in a rush today. We've had scaffolding installed outside our flat for the maintenance cycle ! Yikes.

Anyway there was a sheet of papers that you get free with the magazine Making Cards. I thought why not ! LOL

I've embossed a fine line around a square card (you can hardly see it that scanner is way too bright) and matted with a leftover from Christmas Imaginisce papers' range.

Then I cut the snow globe parts and assembled them, added the reindeer sticker and a red ribbon on the side, simple really ! Quick and easy ! So any excuse to use a plastic 3D embellishment I'm your man ! LOL

Please, add your links to your weekly Xmas cards in the comments section please ! Have fun with our new 2009 Christmas Cards Challenge.

Week #1 Happy New Year ! - My Christmas Cards Challenge starts today !

Happy New Year everyone ! After being quiet for a while, I'm pleased to start my Christmas Card challenge again.

This year we're doing things differently: the challenge is every MONDAY so it's weekly now. Every week I'll post a card made either by Vince or myself and you can add your cards in the COMMENTS section as usual. You can make as many cards as you want during the week but one card a week will do just fine. You don't have to play every week either just add your cards when you have a sudden Xmas urge ! LOL

Now repeat after me " We love Brenda Pinnick" ! I've used, again, her lovely Christmas Card Keeper kit I bought last year, that kit goes on and on......brilliant. Since it's very cold in London and we're going minus for the next few days, I tought an icy blue/turquoise card would be just right up our alley ! Everything is from her Christmas Card Keeper but the rhinestone brads page 82 (Stampin' Up) and the turquoise ribbon 'Icy Rainbow' (HOTP).

I've applied the sentiment transparent quote to some white cardstock and cut around with wavy scissors. I've also used some Anita 3D gloss finish on the snowflake chipboard and added a sequin as well as a gemstone. Two corners from the kit were applied together with two brads on the edge of the card. Finally I shaped a piece of ribbon and added it behind the sentiment. The third brad went in the middle of the round glittered snowflake. It's a simple card but I like the hues of colour of icy cold blue and turquoise.

Add your links to your Xmas cards in the comments section please ! Have fun with our new 2009 Christmas Cards Challenge.
