Week #13 Very Pink Vera De Muis Christmas Card - Decoupage or Pink

I wanted to create a card with only three things this week: using some lovely cardstock from a Dena Kit I got from QVC, my beloved Vera De Muis decoupage which is really Christmassey with the snowman and finally my new Sakura glitter gel to add glitter to the project.

I like how the mouse nearly leaps out of the frame and I hope you can see that I've added glitter to those doodles (on either side) and the flower (just in the middle).

So there ya go for this week: either/or Decoupage or Pink (reddish pink is ok too ! wink)

As usual add your creations using Mr Linky and you can add a comment the usual way. Thanks for playing and I'll be creating a gallery later on the day !

Week #12 Snowwoman Christmas Card - Organza or Vellum Theme

Sorry guys for the picture but I just got back from visiting Vince's relative and I was completely knackered and my nerves were hanging out ! So I made this quicky card with some papers I got for free from Making Card magazine. I used some pink organza and those brad rhinestones I can't seem to leave alone (Stampin' Up) at this rate I'll finish the box soon ! LOL

So the theme this week is Organza or Vellum (or both really). As usual leave your link to your card in the Mr Linky box and you can leave a comment too, please. Again you don't have to follow the them if you have made Xmas cards just share them please.

Week #11 Stripey Christmas Card - Stripes or Ric-Rac ribbon

This week theme is Stripes or/and Ric-rac ribbon. I've used some lovely stripe paper from the 'Very Merry' pad (the sentiment is just a coincidence - LOL) and a lovely set of Stampin Up stamps called 'Hung up on the holidays' and also the lovely round Rhinestone brads again from SU.

As usual just add your Christmas this week to the Mr Linky form and you can also add a comment. Have fun and remember you don't have to follow the theme just increase your Xmas stash of cards to give....that's our goal !

Week #10 Teddy Bear Kanban Concept Card - Swirls and Gems

This week I played with a Kanban Concept card (Teddy Bear) and added my own twist to it. My good friend Gill at Foilplay.co.uk stocks the range and I would really have a look at her lovely website. You can pick n mix like in Woolies (now sadly gone) whatever sheets you want without needing to buy a whole kit.
I've added some Kanban Pearls and the gorgeous Stampin' Up Square Rhinestone brads, I've added a quilled pape star to mat the sentiment. The teddy bear is decoupaged.

The theme this week is Swirls and Gems, so you only need to add some swirly motifs or/and gems to your card. Again the theme is totally optional so if you have made a Christmas card please add it to Mr Linky below. The whole idea of the challenge is to add Xmas cards to your Yuletide stash so you're ready in November, the theme is just an extra bit of fun !

I can't wait to see your creations, please keep adding your cards as on week #12 I'll have some blog candy to give away ! So watch this space.

Week #9 Baubles Christmas Card - Xmas Tree HOTP Template

This week challenge is Anything goes (you create what you like). Also I just want to clear this up, even if I set a weekly challenge, it's optional so just make as many Christmas cards as you like to your heart's content. I'm skipping the gallery this week as I didn't that many entries in the past 4 weeks so make sure you check Week #13 as I'll have 8 weeks then to add your entries.

I just went a bit mad with this card, I've used a Hot Off the Press template where you have half a tree on it to create a cut out. So I've cut the two gatefold flaps and then cut the tree in green paper 4 times so I can stick it back to back. As I was edging it with my sharpie an accident happened so if life gives you lemonade...I decided that I just doodle all over the tree ! LOL

Then I added these metallic buttons I got from Paperchase recently (dont' worry Phree I haven't touched yours ! LOL) and it looks like a five year old had a go so now you know I'm soon to be 42 years of age but going for five ! Ah !

Anyhoo the papers from a lovely 12X12 pad 'Very Merry' from Imagine That. The sentiment inside is from the same pad I've just matted it and added more of those metallic circles.

As usual add your entries using the Mr Linky form and don't forget to leave a comment if you want to. Thank you all for playing the challenge, I know it's weird making Christmas cards whilst Spring is almost at our door but you'll thank yourself in November when everybody is rushing making their cards and just have to think about shopping ! Wink
